After a long wait and a lot of anticipation, the makers of Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu starrer ‘Pink’ have released the film’s first official trailer and it will surely give you goosebumps! Pink is heart rending story of three girls who are embroiled in a controversy and the consequences they have to face thereafter. Soojit Sircar’s Pink is a thriller which reveals how skeptical the Indian society is towards a woman.

One night Taapsee Pannu (while walking on the street) is picked by few boys who are drunk and try to molest them. While trying to protect her dignity, she meets with an accident. The molesters belong to rich influential families and use their power to prove Taapsee Pannu and her friends guilty. Amitabh Bachchan plays a lawyer in the film and has suspicious personality too. Throughout the trailer you will keep pondering who’s side Amitabh is on. The dialogues in the film are quite bold and will give you shudders for a moment. For instance, the trailer of Pink begins with Amitabh asking Tapsee, who is in the witness box, “Are you a virgin, Miss Arora? Haan ya naa mein jawaab dijiye. Don’t shake your head.”The whole court drama looks mentally draining for the girls. The film gives us an insight of how stereotype our society is towards woman.

Set in the backdrops of Delhi, Pink is helmed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and produced by Shoojit Sircar & Rashmi Sharma. The film was formerly titled as Eve but Amitabh rubbished all rumours about the film’s title and revealed that his next film is called as Pink. However, after watching the trailer we can say that Pink will definately take you on a thrilling ride. Pink will hit the silver screens September 16, 2016
