The film is a thriller set in the emergency era of 1975-77. It was a tough time for citizens of the country. The state of emergency was issued by President Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed under Article 352(1) of the Constitution, and lasted for 21 months, from June 25, 1975, to March 21, 1977. A time when they say India fought for its second independence. It was a time of turmoil, a time where destinies could be made or destroyed, and fortunes were stolen or lost. A time when power was absolute. In a time like that, the quasi-government went after royal families all over the country especially in Rajasthan, claiming that they had not declared their wealth in 1971 when the privy purses were abolished.

It claimed that several crores worth of antiques, gold, jewellery and treasures were concealed by the royals. Most of these raids were conducted in Rajasthan, and Baadshaho is the story of one such raid.

Positives -

  • Performances by the star cast. The roles that they played were very different from what they've done earlier.

  • Action Sequences.

Negatives -

  • Climax

  • Poor script
